Public Private Partnership to Improve Health of Urban Poor in Agra
Summary:
This practice describes the design, development and implementation of a Public Private Partnership for managing urban basic reproductive health services in Agra city, Uttar Pradesh. This model has succeeded in bringing together compatible public and private partners to plan and deliver quality healthcare services to meet the needs of impoverished and poor in Agra. The local community recognized Ngo healthcare providers to be more responsive to their healthcare needs and preferences in terms of services available, suitable timings and geographical access etc. In this approach services are delivered by the NGO, while the responsibility for providing the resources rests with the Government.More>>>
