Peer Interface
Peer Interface facilitates the digital exchange of ideas between experts in governance. It aims to deepen individual understandings of good governance practices through the sharing of ideas between communities of like-minded individuals. Practitioners and policymakers are encouraged to seek solutions through this innovative platform to the day-to-day governance challenges they face.
The Public Service Delivery community encourages the achievement of basic public provision of services to the people. Issues discussed by this community include:
- Types of services and delivery mechanisms; for example, reliable electricity through solar panels
- Frameworks for efficient provisioning of services - decentralized, top-down, etc.
- Ways to enhance accountability mechanisms in relation to service delivery
- Capacity-building of service delivery institutions including government bodies and NGOs

To measure quality of public service delivery, a Transparency and Efficiency Service Index needs to be created for each and every Ministry and Department at the State and Central level. These indices could be consolidated at national level to bring out the index for India.
As part of the process, the index can be published on a quarterly basis and be linked to a component of Pay/Salary to ensure quality of service.
