MP to implement 5 schemes of DMIC through PPP model
The MP government is set to implement 5 schemes under the PPP model, as part of the roll out of the ambitious Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor.

Bhopal: In all five schemes of the ambitious Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) are being implemented in Madhya Pradesh under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
Under the project, development of world-class infrastructure and generation of long term atmosphere which could be conducive to attract investment are proposed to be taken up for all round economic development of 150-200 kilometre area around the newly constructed railway line between Delhi and Mumbai, an official statement said here.
The corridor which is 1483 kilometer long will pass through six states which include Madhya Pradesh too. The project has been planned to be executed by the Central Government in financial and  technical collaboration with Japan.
In Madhya Pradesh, the five schemes which have been selected under the DMIC for speedy implementation have earlier been approved by the empowered committee headed by the Chief Secretary.
The selected five schemes for speedy development of industrial infrastructure falling under the DMIC project area include – establishment of knowledge city in Ujjain district, establishment of power equipment hub in Rajgarh district, construction of integrated multi model logistic hub near Pithampur, development of economic corridor between Indore airport and Pithampur, and management of water supply and disposal of polluted water.
All these schemes are to be implemented under the PPP mode. Further,  the state government has declared the Trade and Investment Facilitation Corporation Limited (TRIFAC) as nodal agency for the DMIC project.
Moreover, there are 10 districts in the state which fall under the DMIC project area. These districts include — Dhar, Jhabua, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ratlam, Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur and Rajgarh.
With an objective to promote industrial investment in these districts, the state government has constituted Madhya Pradesh Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (Ujjain) Limited as a subsidiary company of the TRIFAC.
