Accenture to manage Nagaland state portal
The portal will work as a ‘one-stop shop’ where citizens can perform transactions, ask for certificates and obtain information on state schemes. It will make state services easily accessible and ensure reliability and transparency of information.

NEW DELHI: Global technology and consultancy giant Accenture said that it has bagged a 42-month contract from the Nagaland Government for implementing the state’s public service portal.

Under the terms of the agreement, Accenture will execute and manage the state’s portal, state service delivery gateway and e-forms for facilitating the delivery of services offered by multiple government departments, Accenture said in a statement.

The project is expected to begin in January 2011, it added. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
The portal will be a ‘one-stop shop’, where citizens can perform transactions online — from placing requests for birth and domicile certificates to getting information on the state or upcoming events — with speed and efficiency anytime of the day.

“The implementation of the Nagaland state portal will make most government services readily accessible to citizens and it will ensure the transparency and reliability of information,” Mr Krishna G.V.
