The DAR&PG is organising a national conference on e-Governance to disseminate knowledge on effective methods of designing and implementing sustainable e-Governance initiatives across India.
National e-government awards were presented in seven categories at Aurangabad on Feb 10 by the union government to recognise and promote excellence in implementation of e-governance initiatives.

The paper explores the importance of e-governance in reaching the unreached and poverty reduction in rural areas. It also enumerates seven building blocks of pro-poor e-governance.

National awards for e-Governance were presented under seven categories on 18th February 2010 in the National Conference on e-Governance.
This paper explores the way in which citizen participation and engagement impact development and human rights, and strengthen democratic states. It argues that linking states and societies makes governance responsive.

This paper examines the effects of e-governance initiatives in the context of widespread poverty in India. Specific recommendations are made to include socially excluded groups in the design, implementation and access to e-government services.

The paper attempts to identify the challenges confronting effective devolution of power at the grassroot level. Its conclusions are based on a critical study of the exisitng patterns and practices of decentralised forest management and governance.

The two day international conference will stress upon the issues related to governance and corruption, revolving around the sub-themes of good governance, sustainable development, and anti-corruption measures.
The Society for Promotion of e-Governance and TETRA organises this summit to bring together government practitioners, industry, academia and civil societies for discussing papers and experiences on innovative application ideas for mobile governance.
The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances is inviting nominations for 15th National Awards for e-Governance that will be given next year to promote excellence in e-governance. Last date for submission is 15th September 2011.
