The Save the Baby Girl programme aims to limit the worsening trend of India's sex ratio by monitoring doctors through a new 'Active Tracker' technology.

The district administration, with the help of Magnum Opus, developed an embedded product called the Active Tracker, formerly known as the Silent Observer, which is capable of capturing the videos and images displayed on monitor’s machine, when opened and operated for sonography tests of pregnant women. The SIOB is fitted on the cable connecting the sonography machine to the monitor.

The fact that SIOB is fitted to the sonography machine and will capture videos of every sonography test, it becomes easy for the monitoring authority to tally and get the entire record of each and every sonography test even if not reported online on the webportal. This can help in effectively monitoring cases of illegal sex determination tests.
