This practice addresses the grievance redressal of the citizens in Gujarat through innovative e-governance technology known as SWAGAT. This practice has provided a platform to ordinary of people of Gujarat to express their grievances to the CM.

SWAGAT has provided a platform to ordinary of people of Gujarat to express their grievances to the Chief Minister directly, lest their voices go unheard in the state administration. The user’s complaint is sent to the concerned department and the latter has to respond immediately. The Chief Minister personally follow the cases through video conferencing with the concerned departments. The system has significantly improved the delivery of public services in the state and as a result, the number of complaints has decreased indicating improved functioning of government agencies.
